Basic Hat

I started and finished this basic hat yesterday. I used Patons Shetland Classic Tweed in Earthy Brown colorway. This was just a simple K2, P2 hat knit in the round. It was knit for a friend, but beautifully modeled here by my husband. I am working on the drop stitch t-shirt from the 2007 stitch and bitch calendar, and all I have left is the seeming, but I can't motivate myself to just get it over with. Here is picture of the WIP:

Doctor's Bag

Pattern: Doctor's Bag - Knit 2 Together
Yarn: Lopi
Time to Complete: 3-4 months
Mods: I used Lopi single stranded with resulted in a smaller bag. I had to modify each side to make sure the pieces would match up.
Gripes: The seaming seemed endless! A lot of picking up stitches and three needle bind offs. If I were to knit this again I would modify to make front/bottom/back one continuous piece.

I plan on using this pattern again for gifts. This is probably the one project that receives the largest number of compliments. I think I am going to draft a pattern to sew this bag based on the measurements from the book.

Linen Kilt

Pattern: Linen Kilt - Knit 2 Together
Yarn: Euroflax Linen in Champagne
Time to Complete: ~ 4 months of on/off knitting
Mods: Rather than SC along the length of the skirt to knit the side ruffle on, I knit the side ruffle on its own and sewed it on, measuring as I went.
Gripes: The way the K1P1 rib hits the top of my thighs, next time I'll knit maybe 3" of K1P1.

Overall I loved this pattern and would recommend it to anyone who can handle mindless knitting i.e. stockinette and K1P1 rib. I used one less skein of yarn than the pattern calls for, but I never got gauge to begin with. I tend to pull my yarn extra tight when I knit.
